The Exchange is a participatory event that proposes a frame to physically experience and reflect on individual and global violence mechanisms. The Exchange is a new way to engage in public dialogue: step into a choreographic system that does not depend on physical skill, has no audience and only functions through your action.
Using practices from the fields both conflict resolution and choreography, ‘the exchange’ invites participants to shift between perspectives, and to reflect and exchange with each other on their beliefs about violence and the experiences that have led them to those beliefs.
“I see The exchange as a place to create connection and think about how we impact, and are impacted by, the mechanisms and drivers of violence, and what we have the power to change”. Dana Caspersen
